About Us

Helping people move from shame and self-judgment to curiosity and self-understanding.

Our Safe and Comfortable Therapy Space Luminar Minds

Our Philosophy

At Luminar Minds, we believe you are not broken. Many of us learn to hide parts of ourselves in order to feel accepted, safe, or loved. Over time, those survival strategies can leave us feeling disconnected from who we truly are.

Therapy offers a space to slow down, explore your experiences with curiosity rather than judgment, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been overlooked, silenced, or misunderstood. We believe meaningful growth happens when people feel safe enough to be authentic, heard, and accepted.

We are committed to meeting you where you are and helping you build a life that honors your unique needs, strengths, and values.

Behind the Name

The name Luminar Minds reflects our belief that every mind is bright in its own way. Even when life feels overwhelming, confusing, or heavy, each person carries within them their own experiences, wisdom, strengths, and capacity for growth.

The word Luminar represents light, clarity, and hope. Just as light helps us see what was always there but difficult to recognize, therapy can help illuminate patterns, values, experiences, and strengths that may have become obscured by stress, trauma, or self-doubt. Rather than telling you which direction to go, therapy can create the clarity needed for you to find your own path forward.

Luminar Minds Counseling Services

Our Approach

At Luminar Minds, therapy is about more than managing symptoms. It’s an opportunity to better understand yourself, build on your strengths, and reconnect with what matters most to you. Through a collaborative and nonjudgmental approach, we’ll explore your experiences with curiosity, develop tools for growth, and help you create a life that feels authentic, meaningful, and fulfilling.

Our practice affirms Black Lives Matter and LGBTQIA+ rights. We support bodily autonomy. We respect individuals with disabilities and accept diverse identities and relationships.
